DRAWiNG CLASSES

The Line Upon Line Art Studio Drawing Program begins all students with the Level 1: Black and White Drawing Skills class in the Fall session. Students then progress to Level 2 Drawing: Color Theory  and onto more advanced drawing concepts in subsequent class sessions. Eight 90-minute classes. 6 students minimum. Unless otherwise noted, the fee for all classes in the Drawing program is $55.00

Level 2 Drawing: Color Theory

This class is for students who have completed Level 1 Black & White Skills and builds upon those learned skills. Students will be introduced to color theory and the use of water media through creating a variety of color charts and exercises. The weekly projects put these skills to work as students learn the ways that colors work effectively together in a composition to create a center of interest, depth and mood.

Students in the age 13-18 class will be given a list of specific supplies needed for this class, which will also be used in subsequent classes. All materials and supplies for ages 9-12 are covered in the class fee and will be provided by the instructor.

Level 2 Drawing, ages 9-12 - Thursdays, 9:30-11:00 a.m.

Level 2 Drawing, ages 13-18 - Thursdays, 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Advanced Drawing: Get WAY More Out of Your Watercolors!

The Advanced Drawing classes are for students who have completed both Level 1 Black & White Skills and Level 2 Drawing: Color Theory and are designed to introduce more advanced skills as well as new mediums. Students will begin to work more independently on projects. Weekly sketchbook assignments are given.

Watercolors are one of the most exciting mediums to work with. Although it takes some time to master them, the process should be fun, not painful! Advanced students will go a step further in the discovery and use of the wonderful medium of watercolors as we mix and mingle paint on the paper to get fresh, vibrant paintings.

Eight 90-minute classes.

Students will need to bring paints (a few colors will be required, in addition to the original Level 2 supply list), brushes and palettes with them each week, as well as reference photos to work from. All other supplies are included in the fee and are supplied by the instructor.

Advanced Drawing, ages 9-12 - Wednesdays, 2:00-3:30 p.m.

Advanced Drawing, ages 13-18 - Thursdays, 2:00-3:30 p.m.
